About the GTA 6 Map

The GTA 6 mapspans the entire state of Leonida - Rockstar's fictionalized Florida. Unlike GTA 5's single city plus one county, Leonida is a whole state: dense urban Vice City, tropical island chains in the Leonida Keys, swamp interior in Grassrivers, an industrial port at Port Gellhorn, rural inland at Hamlet, and forested highlands in Kelly County.

Community estimates based on trailer coordinate analysis put the playable area at 150 to 200 square kilometers- roughly two to three times the size of GTA 5's 75 km². RumorThat figure is an estimate, not an official Rockstar number, and will be confirmed at launch on November 19, 2026. What's certain is the relative scale: 23 tracked regions vs GTA 5's 2, more than 700 confirmed enterable interiors vs fewer than 20, and varied biomes that go far beyond a single city.

Regions of Leonida

These are the six regions Rockstar has officially named in trailers and promotional material. Each is accessible on the interactive map.

Vice City

Modern Miami

The neon-lit urban core of Leonida. Beachfront skyscrapers, downtown traffic, airport approach shots, and the dense Spanish-speaking neighborhoods that give Vice City its linguistic texture.

Leonida Keys

Florida Keys

Tropical island chains connected by causeway bridges. Boat ramps, mangrove-lined coasts, and the shallow waters where Jason Duval runs his smuggling operations.

Grassrivers

The Everglades

Swamp interior with airboats, alligators, and fracking sites. The biome where wildlife encounters happen - thick mangroves, slow water, and the franchise's most atmospheric wetlands.

Port Gellhorn

Industrial port city

Docks, cranes, and container yards along the industrial coast. Home to the dual Bocamar Bridge spans - the kind of set-piece crossing GTA games use for cinematic moments.

Hamlet

Rural inland town

Quiet farmland, slow roads, and a single beacon tower. The rural breather between the coastal chaos - expect barns, silos, and the slower pace of inland Leonida.

Kelly County

Northern wilderness

Forests and Mount Kalaga rising into the northern highlands. The mountainous edge of the map - climbable, vertical, and a contrast to the flat coastal south.

Beyond these six, fans have identified seventeen additional sub-regions through trailer analysis - Vice Beach, Vice-Dale County, Key Lento, Ambrosia, Watson Bay, and more. For the full breakdown of official vs fan-discovered regions, see our GTA 6 map size guide.

Each pin on the map carries one of three credibility levels:

  • Official Official - confirmed by Rockstar in trailers, screenshots, or press materials.
  • Rumor Rumor - identified by community analysis but not yet confirmed by Rockstar. Includes most of the 1,105 unnamed landmarks.
  • Debunked Debunked - proven false. Locations that appeared in early leaks but were later contradicted by official footage.

We update the map as new footage drops. Trailer 3 is expected to reveal additional regions and named landmarks - watch our Trailer 3 breakdown for what to expect, and check back here for the updated pins.
